Ponyboy Curtis is a 14 year old boy. He has long light brown hair with greenish gray eyes. He is part of a greaser gang. He is the youngest of the gang. He lives with his two brothers, Soda and Darrel. They all live together because their parents died in a car crash. Ponyboy tries not to get in trouble but, trouble always seem to find him. He gets good grades and likes to read. His brother, Darrel tries to push Ponyboy to the best he can be and that annoys Ponyboy. I chose Joel Courtney to play Ponyboy because this is how I see him.
Soda is 16 going on 17.He's got long silky straight hair that’s dark gold and in the summer it becomes a lighter blond. His eyes are dark brown. He is Ponyboy's second oldest brother. It’s rare to find someone that doesn’t drink around where he lives but, he is one of the few that doesn’t drink. He is a very happy person that’s always smiling. Alexander Ludwig could play Soda because I believe he matches Soda’s character.
Darrel is 20 years old and is the oldest brother of Ponyboy. He doesn’t go by Darrel though his nickname is Darry. He’s got dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. He is quite tall being 6.2. He is the brother that looks the most like Ponyboy and Soda's dad. I think Nicholas Hoult could be Darry because he looks like the big brother type.
Steve Randle is 17 years old. He's interested in cars. Steve is Soda's best friend. He is cocky and smart. I chose Carter Jenkins because I thought he fits Steve Randle to play the part.
Two-Bit Mathews is the oldest of the gang. He stands at six feet tall with gray eyes. Two-Bit has side burns. His real name is Keith. He makes funny remarks all the time and doesn’t really even care about much. I chose Joshua Bowman because he reminds me of Tow-Bit Mathews.
Dallas Winston is from New York. He has blond hair that is almost white with ice blue eyes like a lynx. He is always getting into trouble no matter where he is. I chose Alex Pettyfer because I decided that he looked like Dally.
Johnny Cade is very small with black eyes. His hair is jet-black. He has problems at home. He gets beaten by his dad, and his mom doesn’t notice him. He relies on the gang a lot to get through his problems. The actor I chose to play Johnny is Logan Lerman because I believe he would play a perfect Johnny and he fits the description.
Sherri Valance has red hair. She’s 16 or 17 years old and really pretty. Her nickname is Cherry. She can be nice if she wants to. I chose Candice Accola because I know she can play the part of Cherry and I feel that she looks like Cherry also.
